BBlunt has been a household hair-care name in India since the early 2000s, synonymous with salon-grade expertise and trendsetting styling. Following its acquisition by Honasa Consumer, the brand has evolved — but its DNA has remained the same.
They approached us in 2024, for the launch of their new salon-grade sub-brand, BBlunt Professionnel, with a goal to build a brand that doesn’t just look premium — but embodies the science-backed formulations that set it apart, while appealing to salon owners in India.
Keratin structures became our building blocks for the visual exercise, a nod to the deep research and precision that power every product available in their Keraplex Pro™ range. But expertise doesn’t have to be clinical — so we balanced it with a unique, premium, holographic colour palette that was a complete departure from category codes and immediately stood out on the shelf.
To ensure that the brand looked scientifically-backed still, we opted for a minimal, clean layout with serif typography — something that felt as minimal as it did bold, and paired well with the parent brand’s font, all to create something that was scientific yet inviting.
We know that BBlunt Professionnel speaks directly to its audience: stylists who demand performance and consumers who won’t settle for less. Every detail, from the typography to the packaging finishes, was designed to communicate authority without overwhelming with complexity. The result? A brand that not only stands out on the salon shelf but also resonates with professionals who understand that good hair starts with good science.
